At 6.30 am, all the Monlam participants will gather at Kalachakra ground after which the monks, nuns and lay practitioners will form a line of procession and circumambulate the stupa in the outer, inner and middle roundabout ways. The high lamas including Khokhyim Rinpoche and Rigo Tulku Rinpoche will make begging bowl and precious cloth offering to the statue of Lord Buddha at the Great Stupa.

At 11 am, at Nyingma Monlam Institute, His Holiness Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, the Supreme Head of Ngagyur Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism will unveil the tablet that commemorates the successful completion of 25 years since the inception of Nyingma Monlam Chenmo International Prayer Ceremony for World Peace. This will be followed by inauguration of receiving blessings from the holy clothes, hats etc. of the previous supreme heads of the Nyingma Tradition.

At 9 am, ceremonial procession where the picture of His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche’s reincarnation will be carried and placed upon His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche’s throne beneath the Bodhi Tree and the great lamas of the four directions will make long life mandala offering before the Yangsi’s picture. This will be followed by a brief introduction about the Yangsi – reincarnation as well as the enlightened activities of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche and especially his great service to the Nyingma Monlam Chenmo.

1) At 9.30 am, all the Monlam participants: monks, nuns and lay practitioners as well as guests will gather at Kalachakra ground.
2) Khenpo Sonam Tsewang will read out the proceedings of the event.
3) At 10 am, all the important guests including the chief guest and chief lamas/masters will gather after which the chief guest and His Holiness Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, the Supreme Head of the Nyingma School will inaugurate the function by lighting lamps before the Buddha’s statue.
4) Khenpo Chowang, Secretary of the Nyingma Monlam Chenmo International Foundation will deliver a speech introducing the Silver Jubilee Celebration and also highlighting the history of Nyingma Monlam Chenmo – the World Peace Prayer Ceremony
5) Felicitation for all those who have rendered selfless service to Nyingma Monlam Chenmo since its inception
6) Speech by the Chief Guest
7) Tibetan theatrical performance called Lingdro Dechen Rolmo
8) Vote of thanks by the President of Nyingma Monlam Chenmo International Foundation followed by the conclusion of morning’s program
9) At 2.30 pm, His Holiness Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, the Supreme Head of the Nyingma Tradition will bestow long life empowerment after which Lingdro Dechen Rolmo, the theatrical performance will continue followed by other cultural music and dance shows.
